Wednesday, July 23: NO!
Just Pray
By end of day, J had been downgraded and was going to be moved to the fourth floor. Just as his transport arrived, he got nauseous and vomited. The doc came, and x-ray was taken. The decision was made to place the NG tube and put him back on NPO (no food). I don’t like that decision, but I didn’t disagree with it. Especially after we saw what emitted.
So please, pray. For healing. For the right tests that yield the results to indicate the right next step. Pray for A to not be weary in well-doing as she loves her husband in the hardest place. They both need each other and to be supported.
A friend of mine hearkened me back to my Girl Scouts days with our knot-tying unit. Are you familiar with the constrictor knot? When you pull on the end, as to loosen, the knot gets tighter. Pull the other end, tighter still.
That’s this situation: it’s hard stuff. And when the situation pulls on the loose end, they may feel the friction and rubbing of the rope, they may be wondering why the loose end is fraying…doesn’t matter: they will come through this together, tighter, stronger.
Constrictor knot.
Lord, hear our prayer.
