Hi, I’m Stephanie.
I’m a woman, friend, wife, and mother, living by the seat of my prayers.
Our family has faced joy and difficulty, from cancer to commencements, special needs to surprise parties, and mental health to marriages.
I’ve had seasons where things felt off, overwhelming, or unclear.
I’ve learned that you don’t need to have everything figured out.
You just need the next right step.
I create space for real conversations—
through coaching, workshops, and the things I share here.
Nothing complicated.
Just honest support and simple ways to move forward.

Jesus is my foundation. Family is my focus.
My husband and I met in the mid-90s through mutual friends and married a couple of years later. We’ve been homeschooling since the beginning — traditionally, intentionally, and with a lot of grace along the way.
We have five kids: four boys and a girl. Four have graduated, and I guess we did teach them to love learning — one has a master’s, two have bachelor’s, one is studying engineering, and one is headed to grad school in the fall. Our youngest is still in high school, so we’re not done yet. And technically? We have three daughters now — because two married in and became the best big sisters our family needed.
We’ve walked through childhood cancer, chronic illness, and learning and spectrum challenges. We’ve celebrated two marriages and tended broken hearts when loved ones were called home.
We love a good jerk seasoning, a board game, and a belly laugh. We believe in manners, music, March Madness, and showing up for each other.
“By Design” is just my way of saying:
You get to be intentional with what matters—even when life isn’t perfect.
